Longest Running March of Dimes Fund Raising Event Also Offering Incentives From Lillian Vernon as Must Have Keepsakes
The March of Dimes Mothers March online campaign now has a fresh new, exciting site and an easier way to donate to save babies.
The new Mothers March online site at www.mothersmarch.org showcases inspirational success stories, a history of the Mothers March and easier ways to donate to a campaign that is 53-years old and getting stronger every day.
Mothers March began in 1950 with a door-to-door campaign to fight polio – a battle that was won nearly four decades ago. The first and longest-running March of Dimes fund raising event has evolved into a campaign to give all babies a healthy start by protecting them from birth defects and prematurity.
In 2002, Mothers March raised close to $23 million and helped fund life-saving research and programs that save babies.
This year, people can participate online simply by e-mailing friends and family members and requesting donations. The donations can be made easily and securely on the Mothers March site.
In addition, wonderful keepsake incentives from Lillian Vernon are available through August 31, 2003. There are six separate incentive levels, ranging from $100 donations to $1,000 or more. The keepsakes are items related to love, children and grandchildren and range from a heart bookmark with the March of Dimes logo to a personalized wood photo box to store 60 photos to a grandparents platter with boys or girls names.
